Sheriffs vehicle crashes on I-80 during chase

EMERYVILLE, Calif. -- A police chase took place in the East Bay Friday just before 9:45 p.m. on I-80, starting in Richmond.

Contra Costa County Sheriff's deputies followed a car at the University of Berkeley as it weaved through traffic, even turning off its lights at one point to try to throw off the deputies.

One of the sheriff's deputies crashed at the maze.

Sheriff's deputies blocked off lanes at I-80 in Emeryville for a period of time, causing traffic delays.

There are no reports of an arrest at this time.
