ORINDA, Calif. -- One person was killed when a Cadillac crashed and overturned just east of the Caldecott Tunnel Wednesday afternoon.
The crash was reported at 2:49 p.m. on eastbound state Highway 24 near Wilder Road, on the edge of Orinda, CHP officials said.
The tan Cadillac flipped and landed on its roof off the right side of the highway, according to the CHP. It might have crashed into another car nearby but investigators are still looking into how the crash happened.
Despite several cars stopping at the scene and emergency crews responding, all lanes of the highway remain open, according to the CHP.
