Parts of Northern CA put back on drought status

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KGO) -- Parts of Northern California that were no longer considered to be in a drought, are now returning to drought status.



The U.S. Drought Monitor says the lack of rain in May and June and an impending heat wave is causing new concerns.

The upcoming heat waves this summer could make things even worse for the state.



The federal drought monitor predicts this summer could be brutal for wildfires.
