SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Two recent biting incidents involving swimmers have put new focus on sea lions in San Francisco Bay.

They have been the darlings of tourists since 1989, when they starting showing up in large numbers at Pier 39 after the Loma Prieta earthquake.
