SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Two San Francisco police officers and a suspect were rushed to the hospital after being hit by a car Friday morning in the Nob Hill neighborhood, according to information shared with ABC7 Eyewitness News.
It happened just before 8 a.m. in the area of California and Hyde streets.
Sources tell ABC7 that this incident began as a dispute between an officer and a suspect at a nearby Trader Joe's that spilled into the streets. They say the officer and suspect were wrestling in the middle of the street when they were struck by a car. Another officer and San Francisco firefighters jumped in to help the officer who was pinned under the vehicle.
Both officers sustained leg injuries, and the suspect was injured in the incident. San Francisco fire officials say all three were taken to San Francisco General Hospital.
Sources say the two officers are expected to be OK but didn't release information on the condition of the suspect.
