Stan's Donuts reveals their sweet twist on pretzels

CHICAGO -- Have you ever heard of a pretzel doughnut? Well Stan's Donuts has made their own sweet twist on the pretzel.

Rich Labriola, Chief "Doughboy", said it's Stan's newest treat. The sweet takes shape of a pretzel with a white sugar glaze on top.

"It's not too sweet, you really taste the pretzel and the doughnut together. I know its sounds cliche, but it really does embody the best of both worlds," said Labriola.

The Chief Doughboy said they've been working on the pretzel doughnut for quite some time in order to perfect the sweet.

Stan's Doughnuts is a popular doughnut shop in the Chicagoland area, with over 10 shops around the city.

The pretzel doughnut was released mid-September, just in time for the beginning of Oktoberfest.
