SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Officials say several people were transported the hospital with injuries following a multi-vehicle crash in San Francisco's Mid-Market neighborhood on Sunday.
Harrison Street between 7th and 8th streets was closed for a short time while police investigated the crash, causing traffic jams in the area.
Police say two SUVs that were loaded with passengers collided in the middle of the intersection at about 4:25 p.m.
One SUV was slammed against a building. We're told that a homeless man was standing in the doorway of that building. His injuries are said to be most severe.
The fire department says 10 to 15 people were transported to the hospital. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
