Giants build "The Yard" beer garden with shipping containers

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Construction is underway on a new food and beer garden next to San Francisco's AT&T Park.

Monday morning, a crane lifted a giant container into place much like a giant Lego piece.

"The Yard," as the San Francisco Giants call the new space, is being built on Parking Lot A and is being made with refurbished shipping containers.

The space will open to the public in about a month and will stay open year-round, not just during baseball season.
