SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- It appears that State Sen. Mark Leno will not be running for San Francisco mayor against incumbent Ed Lee next year.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Leno has decided that now is not the time to run despite being approached by residents upset about the direction of the city under Lee.
In particular, some residents have voiced their concerns about rising rents and the influx of technology companies.
A poll released back in April indicated that Leno could have beat Lee in a match-up for the mayor's seat.
