SAN FRANCISCO -- Police are looking for people inside a car that drove erratically and hit a pedestrian in San Francisco's Marina neighborhood on Tuesday night, a police spokesman said.

Officers in the area of Bay Street saw a vehicle possibly linked to auto boosting around 9:40 p.m., Officer Albie Esparza said.

The officers followed the vehicle as it sped away then hit a pedestrian and another vehicle in the area of Franklin and Chestnut streets, Esparza said.

The vehicle then crashed into a building and the people in the car fled on foot into the area of Aquatic Park, he said.

Several individuals were detained but no one is in custody, according to Esparza.

Two people suffered injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening, Esparza said.
