SAN JOSE (KGO) -- San Jose plans to unveil an $80 million, five-year plan to make its city streets safer for drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians.
It's called 'Vision Zero.' The program has been proven to slow down speeders by narrowing wide streets for bike lanes, making crosswalks more visible and improving lighting across the city.
'Vision Zero' has cut road deaths by as much as 53 percent since 1997 in Sweden and other European countries.
