Man hospitalized after shooting in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO -- Officers responded to a shooting that left one victim injured in San Francisco this morning, police said.



Police responded to reports of a shooting the area of Hyde and Fulton around 2:50 a.m., according to San Francisco police spokesperson Officer Gordon Shyy.



A suspect confronted a group of men demanding their property, and shot one victim in the torso before taking cash from the group and fleeing, Shyy said.



The victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital and no information on his condition was immediately available.
