MEXICO CITY (KGO) -- The entirely fictional, movie "Snakes on a Plane" starring Samuel L. Jackson centered on a frenetic flight featuring some slithering serpents.



On a flight to Mexico City on Sunday passengers were stunned to see the film's hallmark event, a snake on a plane, happening in real life.



The snake fell after attempting to slither out of an overhead compartment during the flight. Eventually animal control boarded the plane to capture the snake.



Passenger Indalecio Medina posted this chilling and surreal video on his Twitter account during the snake's descent into the plane's main cabin:
