VTA light rail derails in Downtown San Jose, no injuries reported

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- Crews are cleaning up following the derailment on a VTA light rail Friday evening.

According to VTA officials, the train derailed at Woz Way and San Carlos. No passengers were on board and no injuries were reported.

An alternate bus service, Bus Bridge, is operating between Paseo de San Antonio and San Fernando stations on the Mountain View/Winchester line. Light rail passengers may experience delays.

The Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.
