Walnut Creek police deliver items stolen from mail truck

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. (KGO) -- Some people in Walnut Creek are getting their packages delivered a little late, but that's a good thing.

The police department tweeted out pictures of officers personally delivering stolen packages to homes.

The officers wore Santa hats and had fun on the job.

Investigators say it appears the packages were stolen from a mail carrier's truck and then dumped in some bushes.
