Takeaway of the Day
Today offered a little something for all weather tastes. The morning hours brought clouds, showers and occasional wind gusts. By midday, there were pockets of clearing with sunlight breaking through. And the afternoon featured a four-to-eight-degree warmup from yesterday's temperature range. Going into the evening hours, we can expect increasing clouds with the possibility of isolated showers.
The Look Ahead
Tomorrow and Friday will bring mostly sunny skies and a much warmer weather pattern. That warming will continue over the weekend, as inland high temperatures reach into the lower and mid-90s. We can expect that summerlike heat to persist into early autumn, which begins Sunday at 5:43 a.m. On Monday and Tuesday, high temperatures will likely reach upper 90s inland and lower 80s near the bay. That's quite a summerlike start to the first week of fall.
