Takeaway of the Day
Election Day weather has been pleasant and mild here in the Bay Area, but we are in a period of high fire danger. Relative humidity is critically low, and wind gusts are intensifying. As a result, a Red Flag Warning is in effect until 7 a.m. Thursday across the entire Bay Area. During these next two days, relative humidity may drop below 15% at times, and wind gusts may reach or exceed 55 miles per hour.
The Look Ahead
By Friday, the Red Flag Warning will have expired, winds will have diminished, and humidity will have increased. The weekend will bring a much different pattern. We can expect increasing clouds, a minor cooldown, and chances of drizzle Saturday and Sunday followed by the probability of rain next Monday.
