Takeaway of the Day
Our recent pattern of cloudy, cool, and un-spring-like weather continued today. Morning clouds and patchy drizzle lingered until midday over much of the Bay Area, and afternoon high temperatures reached only into the lower-to-mid-60s. Going into the evening hours, the cooling marine layer will once again push from the coast across the bay and locally inland.

The Look Ahead
We can expect this week to end on a cool and mostly cloudy note tomorrow, as showers approach the coastline. Those showers will move onshore overnight and through the day on Saturday, along with a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms. However, the second half of the weekend will bring the rapid return of more spring-like weather. Sunday will be partly sunny and warmer, with highs ranging from mid-60s near the bay to around 70 degrees inland. This warming trend will continue into early next week, with highs ranging from mid-70s near the bay to lower 80s inland.
