Takeaway of the Day
Today's weather has produced a variety of conditions: a few scattered showers--mainly North Bay; areas of bright sunshine; and menacing dark clouds. It has also been unseasonably cool with high temperatures mainly in the upper 50s to around 60 degrees. San Jose and Gilroy in the South Bay have reached 64 degrees. Clouds will increase going into the evening and late night hours, and there is still a chance of isolated showers.

The Look Ahead
Rain chances for the week ahead are now increasing, as an atmospheric river is building out at sea, and it's taking aim at the Bay Area. Here's what we can expect: cold mornings and dry conditions for Monday and Tuesday--followed by a series of rainy days Wednesday through Sunday. At the moment, we're giving each day's rain a ranking of Level 1 on the exclusive ABC7 Storm Impact Scale, but it is quite possible that the cumulative impact of this rainy pattern may lead to an increase to Level 2 at the end of the week and into the weekend.
