BERKELEY, Calif. -- A Hollywood star is selling her home in the Bay Area. Whoopi Goldberg has just listed her Berkeley estate for nearly $1.3 million.
The two-story Victorian-style home, listed for $1.275, is just a few blocks from the Berkeley Arts District. The renovated main house was built in 1890, has three bedrooms, raised ceilings and an updated kitchen. In addition to the main house, there's a renovated barn that, according to the website for the property, was built in 1900 and at one time used to house horse-drawn ambulances.
The property sits on about a third of an acre. Records show the house last sold in 1985 for $335,000.
The 59-year-old co-host of ABC's hit show The View, lived in Berkeley in the late 1970s and was active in the local improv scene.
