SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- One Bay Area grandmother is showing that chemo can't get her spirits down.

San Jose resident Rosemary Porter Capitolo knitted herself an orange wig for Halloween. The 71-year-old then topped it off with a cap supporting her favorite team -- the San Francisco Giants.

Her granddaughter, Megan, tweeted out a picture saying: "my grandma (who is going through chemo) knitted herself some hair this morning. I swear she is the absolute best!"

Capitolo is being treated for ovarian cancer.

She's worn hats to cope with the hair loss, but says this knitted wig is a first for her.
