Bachelor comes to Bay Area to find love
On Monday night's episode of "The Bachelor," the competition for Chris Soules' heart continued right here in the Bay Area.

SOLANO COUNTY, Calif. (KGO) -- On Monday night's episode of "The Bachelor," the competition for Chris Soules' heart continued right here in the Bay Area and ABC7 News were there when it was shot and got a behind scenes look as handful of women dragged themselves through mud to prove their worthy of a rose.

Six beautiful women ran, climbed and swung, competing for time alone with hunky bachelor Chris Soules. ABC7 News was there when they competed.

Bachelorette Carly Waddell laughed, "The competition hasn't started yet, but I am feeling a little intimidated, this is a giant course and there's some like athletic girls in this group."

An army of cameras was on hand at the Solano County Fairgrounds. The episode was actually filmed last October. We were sworn to secrecy about what happened.

Nikki Delvenchal, another Bachlorette said, "I cannot believe we are about to do a mud run in wedding dresses."

Soules said, "Mud is my thing. I like getting my hands dirty and being outside. I am an outdoorsy kind of guy, I am a farmer, so this reminds me of home."

Waddell said, "My strategy is just to not think and keep going."

Soules wasn't shy about what he expected. "I am going to be looking for them to give it everything they got to win," he said.

The competition is messy, but Bachelor Soules says he's already seeing sparks.

"A lot of these girls that here, I mean feel like have strong connections with," he said. "Some stronger than others, but I feel like there is potential each and every one of them."

Chris wouldn't tell us who might be topping his list, but many of the young ladies vying for his affection think they have a chance.

"Out of all the girls here, I am the only one that's had a one-on-one so far," said bachelorette Whitney Bischoff, "I am ready to spend more time with him I am ready to get down and dirty and win this thing."

"It's going good, we're having a good time," said Waddell.

"Granted if I win," said Bachlorette Nikki Delvenchal. "I would be looking forward to that one-on-one time with Chris, that's what were here for."

So what's America's most eligible bachelor think of all these women fawning over him?

"I really thankful that they are all here and they are here for me for the most part I think, getting to know them has been a lot of fun," said Soules.

Even if it means getting a little dirty.

Watch the Bachelor Monday's at 8PM on ABC7.
