When people attending the Governors Ball music festival opened the door to a certain porta-potty, they were in for quite the surprise. Music groups came spilling out of the restroom in the middle of a performance, much to the shock of the would-be restroom-goers.

The prank was put together by Improv Everywhere, a group of pranksters based out of New York City. For this prank, they worked with the Governors Ball music festival to set up a fake porta-potty that large groups could walk out of.

"It can be hard for Improv Everywhere projects to stand out in an environment like a festival, where there is art and entertainment everywhere you turn," the group explained in a blog post about the prank. "We had to find the least exciting part of the festival to make it work."

In all, four very different acts participated in the prank: The New York City Mariachi Conservatory, Lady Peachena & The Late Show's Gospel Choir, Bollywood Funk NYC Dance School and the Patriot Brass Band. Each time a new group filed out of the porta-potty, jaws dropped and onlookers chuckled. The groups kept their performances going no matter the reaction.

"I imagine it was one of the strangest gig any of these groups has ever booked," the blog post read.
