Kid Rock surprises fan at birthday party

TOLEDO, Ohio (KGO) -- A Kid Rock fan who has Down syndrome received the best gift ever for his 30th birthday.

Toledo, Ohio resident Dan McGurk uploaded a YouTube video invitation to his favorite rock star to come to his birthday bash this past Monday.

McGurk thought it was a long shot, that Kid Rock would dismiss it like all the others he gets.

On the day of McGurk's birthday party, in walks Kid Rock. And he didn't come empty-handed.

"He got me lots of stuff. He got me a hat. He got me a couple of his stuff, like, he got me a picture frame and signed my book," McGurk said,

Kid Rock also brought tickets to one of his upcoming concerts and he sang "Happy Birthday" to him.
