LOS ANGELES -- Star Wars fans have a new hope that the next trilogy of movies is here to rescue the franchise.
Fans showed up in full force Friday to watch the Jedi's return to the big screen, if for only 88 seconds.
They're lining up outside theaters across the country, not really for the main feature but for the new Star Wars trailer, glimpse of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."
The trailer is just 88 seconds long and there's no dialogue, just 15 narrated words. Online endless theorizing. One Texas theater is even playing the trailer on a loop, pausing and pausing.
This is the seventh Star Wars installment, set 30 years on from the last. The movie doesn't open until December 2015.
