When it comes to fighting for amphibian rights, there's no better advocate you could have on your side than Kermit the Frog.

Kermit spoke with ABC's Albert Lawrence on political issues that affect him as an Amphibian American, including his desire to #SaveTheSwamp.

"It's not about the party for me, it's about the water," Kermit said. "It's about the swamp, save the swamp."

But out of all his muppet cohorts, Kermit couldn't name a single one who he felt would be a viable candidate for the presidency.

"None of them, I can't even imagine," Kermit said.

Watch the series premiere of The Muppets tonight at 8 p.m. ET | 7 p.m. CT on ABC.
