SEATTLE (KGO) -- There's an app for just about everything these days, and that now includes beer. George Taylor and Stephan Pond are crisscrossing America to buy every kind of bottled or canned beer sold in the U.S.

Their goal is to get 40,000 different beers one bottle at a time. But not to drink them.

They're taking the beer back to a lab in North Carolina, where each one will be analyzed for its DNA.

That DNA will go into a free app called Next Glass where beer lovers can scientifically find a match to the brews they like.
