SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- In the mood for a specific kind of cuisine? Maybe Italian, Chinese or Greek?

If you've ever wondered how authentic your meal is, now you can find out. But only if it's Thai food you're craving.

The government in Thailand has developed a new machine to standardize the art of Thai cuisine. The robot tests each dish and compares its chemical signature to the recipe the government considers "authentic."

Restaurants who use officially "sanctioned" recipes, can put a special logo on their menus to let customers know they're authentic.
