Nicknamed "the world's fittest old age pensioner," a 95-year-old British man set a new World Record for his age group by running the indoor 200-meter in just 55.48 seconds.

Moments before beating the record, sprinter Charles Eugster sat down for an interview with Sportsvibe, denying that he could beat any world records that day, but maybe a national one.

"The idea is that I want to change the world, you see. I want to make old age something wonderful, stupendous, glorious, fantastic, superb, interesting, exciting," Eugster told Sportsvibe. "I want to make old the best part of one's life."

Eugster began body building at age 87 when he felt insecure about how his body had deteriorated with old age. Wanting to improve his appearance, he joined a club and hired a previous Mr. Universe as his personal trainer.

The senior covered the 200-meter distance in just 55.48 seconds, breaking the previous record made by Orville Rogers in 2013 by more than two full seconds.

"Retirement is a health catastrophe and a financial disaster. Anybody that retires is putting one foot into a chamber of horrors," said Eugster. "In my opinion, work is the most important thing for a healthy old age."

When asked if there was anything else he'd like to achieve to his age, Eugster replied, "I'd like to have a new girlfriend."
