The American Academy of Pediatrics says drinking too much soda can lead to weaker bones in children.

AAP recommends calcium, vitamin D and exercise are needed to develop strong bones in childhood and to help prevent a brittle bone condition like osteoporosis later in life.

According to researchers, nearly 25 percent of high school students drink soda every day, leading to a lower intake of milk and calcium.
