Study: Women more likely to get Alzheimer's

A new study shows women are more likely than men to develop Alzheimer's disease.

The report by the Alzheimer's Association estimates that women over the age of 65, have a one in six chance of developing the disease, compared to one in 11 for men.

Researchers theorize that the risk is higher for women because they live longer.

Around five million people in the U.S. suffer from Alzheimer's and 3.2 million of them are women.

The report also found that women are twice as likely to develop Alzheimer's than breast cancer.
