Drone captures town's incredible New Year's Eve fireworks celebration

New Year's Eve fireworks are not unusual, but one town in Iceland certainly knows how to ring in the new year with style.

The local search and rescue team for the town of Vestmannaeyjar sells fireworks ahead of New Year's Eve as a fundraiser. From the look of the video, residents are more than happy to support the team's efforts as dozens of fireworks can be seen going off above homes all over town.

Videographer Tomas sent his aerial drone into the night sky to capture the incredible celebration and posted the results to YouTube.
