Authorities say Malachi Love-Robinson opened up his own clinic, met with patients and gave medical advice - all without a license to do so.
ABC's Matt Gutman talked to the teen overnight via Skype. He is now out on bail awaiting his arraignment.
During the exclusive interview, Love-Robinson said he was homeschooled and has a passion for helping people.
Treatments listed on his website include phototherapy, food, air therapy and naturopathy.
"I have been studying this particular field for a while. It may not be eight years, nine years, 10 years but it has been long enough to justify what I do," Love-Robinson said.
Love-Robinson said he was in the middle of changing the M.D. title outside his office so as to not confuse patients.
The 18-year-old also faces charges of grand theft for allegedly stealing checks from an elderly patient.
