AMADOR COUNTY, Calif. (KGO) -- Firefighters battling a 1,300 acre wildfire in a remote area of Amador and El Dorado counties, just north of Plymouth. It is zero percent contained.

The fire is burning out of control and has forced the evacuation of at least 50 homes in the Sierra foothills.

CAL FIRE says the blaze is burning high in the treetops making it difficult for crews to knock down. They think a vehicle fire started the fire.
