that killed a 5-year-old boy and seriously injured his mother while they both slept in the master bedroom.
Police said Shuemake used an accelerant to start the house fire that killed who they believe to be the suspect's own son.

The mother is a 45-year-old woman named Micky Seil-flood who remains hospitalized.
Her friend and former neighbor Tiffany Sanchez came back to the street Monday morning to remember the little boy who died. "Dayleon he was a beautiful boy, he just had the greatest spirit," she said.
However, neighbors had nothing positive to say about the suspect. "She just had a boyfriend move in, and ever since then, that's when things started going bad, so I'll leave it at that," neighbor James Hughes said.

"To have somebody burn a child, a family, alone just a family, what is this world coming to?" asked neighbor Markell Wallace.
The mother suffered second and third-degree burns trying to rescue her child. Neighbors also tried to get him to safety. "I hosed her off really good, just kind of cooled her off then asked her where the baby was and started to go in. I could only get like halfway through the living room," neighbor Jeffrey Ames said.
"Our focus at this point is locating him, and locating him in a manner in which he is taken into custody safely and nobody else is injured," Vallejo Police Department Lt. Jeff Bassett said.
