Artist shows off amazing sculptures at SF's Exploratorium
Theo Jansen stopped by the Exploratorium Wednesday morning to demonstrate one of his amazing kinetic sculptures.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- You know that Walt Disney quote, "If you can dream it, you can do it"? Well, a Dutch artist followed Walt's advice. And now his "dream machines" are the stars of a new exhibition in San Francisco.

Theo Jansen stopped by the Exploratorium Wednesday morning to demonstrate one of his amazing kinetic sculptures.

A total of eight will soon be on display.

He calls them Strandbeests, which is Dutch for beach animals.

They're made of PVC tubing. Some are powered by the wind while others are hands on.

In fact, you can move the Strandbeests when the exhibition goes public this Friday.

Just stop by the Exploratorium at Pier 15.

The Strandbeests will be there until September 5.
