SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) --San Francisco crews spent most of Thursday preparing for two storms that are expected to move through the area starting Thursday night.

The Department of Public Works spent the day cleaning out storm drains and homeowners worked to clean out gutters.
When more than an inch of rain falls in 24 hours, the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission deploys barriers, but they do not expect that to happen on Friday.

CHP officials are warning drivers about slick pavement during the storm and is encouraging everyone on the road to slow down and drive safe.
