SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- We've partnered with the team at Hoodline - the hyperlocal neighborhood website to find weekend activities in and around the Bay Area.
Start the new year with new art. Hoodline recommends chamber music, dance and cork art.
Noe Valley Chamber Music hosts Musica Pacifica this weekend and we're told it's the best concert you've never seen and they give you free wine at intermission. We hear they also provide childcare. You can enjoy the music Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Alonzo King Lines Ballet presents an all you can dance for $5 event this weekend. From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday you can learn hip-hop, ballet, contemporary and even jazz in 20 minute classes. They embrace beginners and experienced dancers.
You too can make creatures out of wine corks or "corkanimals" at the Museum of Craft and Design. They have an exhibit about art pieces that have become win labels and this is an extension of that show.
Who knew cork could be used as stamps, or be made into lovely jewelry? It happens Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and is included in paid admission to the museum.
