SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- Police arrested a man in connection to a shooting at an apartment complex on Santana Row in San Jose Monday morning.

Santana Row bills itself as the ultimate destination for style, but on Monday San Jose police officers armed with rifles and SWAT gear arrived in response to a shooting.

At about 12:45 a.m., Santana Row security called police after they were contacted by several residents at Misora Luxury apartments. "The call was that neighbors heard gun shots coming from what they believe was inside one of the units and it appeared that a bullet had passed through the wall from one unit to the other," San Jose Police Department Lt. Paul Joseph said.

Officers arrived, not knowing what they were facing. They evacuated several units around the townhome where the shots appeared to be fired in. Then, police made contact with the two men inside. "That he would come out, that he was fine and he would come out," Joseph said.

Officers detained two men and ended up arresting only one, and there is no word on the charges.

Workers at Peet's Coffee had to delay opening up Monday morning until they were given the all clear. "A little bit frightened, but I'm glad they're here because I know that we're safe," Peet's coffee Rachelle Perondi said.

San Jose police are investigating to find out if alcohol or drugs were a factor.

Officials said no one was hurt in the shooting.

They have not revealed if the shooting was accidental or intentional.
