3 suspects in custody after carjacking and crash in the East Bay
There's a huge police presence in the East Bay this morning after a reported carjacking and crash.

SAN LEANDRO, Calif. (KGO) -- There's a huge police presence in the East Bay this morning after a reported carjacking and crash.

Police caught the three men they were looking for. They want to take them to the hospital to check them out after the suspects crashed the vehicle they were driving on East 14th Street and Bancroft Avenue in San Leandro.

This started as a carjacking at 1:45 a.m. in Hayward. Officers spotted the car and chased it to San Leandro.

Police say when it crashed, the three men ran away. They were later found hiding in a backyard and taken into custody.

A cleanup is still underway at the crash scene.
