6 injured after bus crashes into building in Queens
The FDNY reports that 6 people were taken to the hospital with injuries after a casino bus crashed into a building in Rego Park, Monday afternoon.

REGO PARK -- The FDNY reports that 6 people were injured when a Resorts World Casino bus crashed into a building in Queens.

The crash happened at 87-17 63rd Avenue in Rego Park just before 2:30 p.m. Monday.

Police are saying that 5 of the injuries came from the bus. One person from inside the building was also injured. The victims were taken to area hospitals where they are being treated for non-life threatening injuries. The extent of their condition is not yet known.

The three-story building that the bus hit is both commercial and residential. Crews are on the scene trying to determine how to remove the bus from the building. FDNY officials say the second floor of the building is inside the bus.

NYPD is currently at the scene investigating. There is no word yet on where the bus was headed.

A spokesperson for Resorts World Casino released a statement after the accident, saying,

"Our thoughts and prayers are with those impacted by today's bus accident. We are cooperating fully with the authorities in the investigation."
