HEALDSBURG, Calif. (KGO) -- A CHP officer and a Sonoma County sheriff's deputy are recovering from injuries after their car slammed into a tree Friday night.

It happened just after 10 p.m. on northbound Highway 101 in Healdsburg.

Authorities say the unmarked car that the two were riding in hit some furniture in the road. Then, the car spun off the highway and slammed into a tree.
