Community donates to help family of injured window washer

SAN LEANDRO, Calif. (KGO) -- The community is responding in a big way to help the family of a window washer who fell from the roof of a San Francisco building.

Pedro Perez survived an 11-story fall a month ago landing on a car.

He's talking and eating, but still has a long recovery ahead.

His family launched a GoFundMe page for donations to help with expenses while he's out of work.

Since it launched, they've raised more than $54,000 and most of that was raised in just 24 hours.
