BERKELEY, Calif. (KGO) -- Thursday night the families of the victims gathered to pay their respects at the scene of the tragedy.

There is a push to get seats for family and friends of the victims on a Sunday flight from SFO to Dublin. If you know anyone who is willing to give up their seat, please spread the word.

The memorial at the site of the balcony collapse continues to grow and so do the efforts to help those families and friends still reeling from the Berkeley balcony collapse.

Ireland's Minister Jimmy Deenihan, TD, Minister For Diaspora Affairs said to the family members, "The sympathy of Ireland is with you."

Deenihan, family, and friends of the six Irish students lost in the Berkeley balcony collapse laid a wreath along Kittridge Street.

Deenihan said to the media, "I've never seen such an outpouring of love, genuine sympathy and grief from the whole country. Irish people support each other in time of need."

The minister also added the horrendous scene shouldn't tarnish the J-1 Visa program, which helps many young people see the world. He explained, "Many of the leaders of industry in our country, politicians included, have experienced this program."
