ROHNERT PARK, Calif. (KGO) -- Santa Rosa police arrested the father of two Rohnert Park girls he possibly abducted, but who were later found safe.

Santa Rosa police arrested Everett Reep Friday around 5:40 p.m. outside his Santa Rosa home on Arista Lane on charges of child endangerment and one additional charge.

Police responded to his home after receiving a a report of a disturbance and then detained him for Rohnert Park detectives as they investigated the possible parental abduction of Reep's two oldest daughters.

Police released no details about where the father and his daughters were located.

The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety said 45-year-old Everett Reep, of Rohnert Park, obtained an emergency custody order Tuesday after he was served with a temporary restraining order filed by his ex-wife. Reep then picked up his two oldest daughters Kyra, 11, and Alyssa, 9, from an after-school program they attended.

The girl's mother on Wednesday then contacted the court that issued emergency custody order, and the order was rescinded, police said.

Police said Reep appeared to have turned off his phone and did not respond to text messages, voicemails and emails advising him the emergency custody order was rescinded and ordering him to return the girls to their mother, police said.

Police said they believed Reep was driving to Washington state in a 1998 Mercedes Benz, and that they received information he was stopped with the girls on Interstate Highway 5 in Oregon on Tuesday evening.

Police said they believed Reep had been "very hostile" lately and might have been trying to conceal the girls from their mother after he was served with a restraining order.

Reep was booked into the Sonoma County Jail and a bail enhancement was obtained setting his bail at $1 million as the investigation continues.
