Federal agents raid San Jose home, discover meth lab
Federal agents are investigating after they raided a home in San Jose that turned out to be a meth lab Friday morning.

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security and federal drug agents raided a home in San Jose that turned out to be a meth lab on Friday morning.

It happened near north 20th and East Julian streets, just over a block from San Jose High School. Agents took over the block and no one is being allowed to drive through the area. Authorities have been at the scene since 6 a.m.

Sky7 HD flew over the home in question and captured video of dozens of pots filled with brown liquid and a tarp with a large amount of yellow powder. Neighbors have been told authorities are investigating a meth lab and are not providing any other details at this time.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is executing a narcotics-related search warrant and the Drug Enforcement Agency is assisting in this ongoing investigation.

"I've been living here for a while and we've never seen anything like this before, so I think it's kind of crazy now. The block has been getting really weird," nearby resident Mayrani Antillon said.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and hazardous materials crews are also involved in this investigation.
