Gas leak forces evacuation of homes in San Jose
A gas leak forced the evacuation of at least two homes after construction workers severed a three-quarter inch line Wednesday morning in San Jose.

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- A gas leak forced the evacuation of at least two homes after construction workers severed a line Wednesday morning in San Jose.

The workers were digging in the area of Pettigrew Court around 10 a.m. when the line was severed. The leak was capped around 11:10 a.m.

There was no estimated time when residents who had been evacuated would be allowed back into their homes.
