A 5-year-old girl was transported to a hospital after she became stuck inside a washing machine at a Pasadena laundromat Tuesday.

It happened at Le's Washeteria around 6:15pm in the 2400 block of Southmore.

Police say a woman was using a machine that she says wasn't working right. She complained to the management and they gave her money for a different machine.

As she was starting that other washer, the 5-year-old got into the machine that hadn't been working properly. When the door closed, the machine started working with the girl still inside.

Emergency personnel were called to the scene, but the laundromat owner says an employee had already turned of the circuit breakers, stopping the machine.

The girl was airlifted to a hospital as a precaution, but officials don't suspect she suffered any life threatening injuries
