HAYWARD, Calif. (KGO) -- A police standoff that put an East Bay neighborhood on lockdown for 12 hours ended with a dramatic arrest.

Around 2 p.m. on Sunday, SWAT teams surrounded a house in Hayward as what appeared to be gas or smoke poured through the windows. Minutes later, officers escorted a man in handcuffs away from the scene.
