Security cameras catch men stabbing an inflatable Santa

PHOENIX, AZ -- Vandals stabbed Santa. An inflatable Santa.

James Ahlgrim walked out of his house in Phoenix, Arizona to discover his inflatable Santa had been deflated. Upon inspection, he learned the jolly elf had been cut multiple times, ABC affiliate KNXV-TV reports.

Ahlgrim had a surveillance system. He reviewed the video and was horrified by what he saw.

The video shows two men pull up to his house. One of them then walks up to santa, pulls out a knife and stabs the inflatable decoration prison-movie style.

Ahlgrim does not know who the men are. He's also left wondering why they would do such a thing to Santa.

"What's the little inflatable Santa hurting?" he asked.

Ahlgrim handed the video over to police in hope they'll catch both of the Santa stabbers before they do something worse.

"The part that bothers me is that it was early in the evening and any one of my kids could have been coming out. If they are going to stab a Santa, God only knows what they're going to stab" said Ahlgrim.
